One-on-one consultations

As artists we are highly creative, knowledgable, and experienced. This we bring to every consultation for every artwork that makes its way to our framing table so that we help you to best dress your work.

Sustainably sourced timber frames

We custom-make all frames using sustainable and locally sourced hardwood mouldings available in a range of contemporary styles, sizes and timber species.

We also offer a limited and always–changing range of mouldings made from various salvaged timbers that may otherwise have ended up as landfill. They are storied and unusual but limited in length and size, having been shaped by their former circumstances.

All finishes in-house by hand

As we work exclusively with raw timbers and undertake all finishes in house we are able to offer a wide range of finishes that can be customised as necessary or as desired.

Whether clear waxes, coloured stains, solids blacks and whites, or a custom paint job colour-matched to the work – we can do it and are happy to workshop ideas.

Matboards and papers

For works to be float- or window-mounted we offer an extensive range of matboards in a variety of colours, tones, textures and metallic finishes that minimally provide a conservation standard of protection (100% cotton or alpha cellulose, acid- and lingin-free core, chemically stable or buffered to a neutral pH).

UV-filtering and non-reflective glazing options

Our go-to glazing is a conservation-grade glass that blocks up to 99% of harmful UV rays to keep any object of particular monetary or sentimental value safe for many years. But we recognise that different works have different requirements, so we also offer a range of other glass and acrylic options with varying levels of UV protection and anti-reflective, -glare and/or -static attributes.

Archival materials and conservation methods

All our work is is undertaken using archival materials and conservation-standard methods to keep your artworks pristine.

Our materials are inert, stable and will not produce any off-gases that may cause the artwork to deteriorate or discolour over time. Further, our methods follow industry best practice are fully reversible without causing any damage to the artwork.

Before framing, all artworks are stored flat in clear inert sleeves and are handled only while wearing cotton gloves to prevent any staining or deterioration that may be caused by acidic body oils or dirt.
